Kasie Jones is a full-time stay-at-home mother that is dedicated to educating her eight children using a classical model of education. She runs a small business and a homestead with her family and has been serving as the head chair position for the Selkirk Classical Academy founding board. Mrs. Jones is passionate about classical education and is thrilled to be a part of creating that opportunity for others in her community.
Leisl Woomert is a long-time resident of Boundary County and has deep roots in the area, including the homeschool community. She has a passionate desire to see children have the opportunity to live happy, successful lives undergirded by a rich education that trains their minds and provides them the tools to succeed. Ms. Woomert has a degree in Paramedicine, and is currently obtaining her Bachelor’s in Nursing to better serve the community through medicine. She is a part of a flagship Mobile Integrated Health program at her agency, which is an innovative approach that bridges emergency medicine and primary care providers. This program has been exhaustively built by Ms. Woomert and two of her co-workers; this has allowed her to obtain invaluable experience in leadership, by crafting innovative solutions to complex problems and diplomacy.
Kaite Gorman is a board member and treasurer for Selkirk Classical Academy. Professionally, she is a Realtor in Boundary County and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Kaite and her husband moved to Bonners Ferry in 2019 with the goal of raising their family in an area that cherishes American values and ideals. She is excited to be a part of the effort to bring a classical education option which imparts those ideals to future generations of the community. In her free time, Kaite enjoys outdoor activities with her husband Ryan and their three children.
Kristynne Cranford is an educator with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education/Special Education with a minor in Language Arts and a Master’s degree in Education. She has taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades in New Mexico and in Washington. As an educator, Mrs. Cranford fully supports and embraces the classical education model.
